Learn how to create your own magic crystal ball.
1. Create a new document. I made mine 200×200 pixels.
2. Press D and then Alt+Backspace (this will fill the layer with black). Now go to Filter>>Render>>Lens Flare and use these settings: Brightness: 100%, Lens Type: 105mm Prime. Your image should now look like this:

3. Now go to Filter>>Distort>>Polar Coordinates, check Polar to Rectangular and click OK. Now go to Image>>Rotate Canvas>>180 (this will rotate the canvas at 180 degrees). Now go again to Filter>>Distort>>Polar Coordinates and this time check Rectangular to Polar and click OK.

4. Use the Eliptical Marquee Tool and, while holding Shift key make a circular selection around your ball. Now press Ctrl+Shift+I(this will invert the selection) then press Alt+Backspace(or use the Fill Tool) to fill the background with black. Now press again Ctrl+Shift+I.

5. Ok, now create a new layer and name it “Black”. Press D and then Alt+Backspace(this will fill the selection with black). Now, while holding the Shift key, press up arrow once and then right arrow once. Now, release the Shift key and press Del. Hold Shift again and press left arrow once and then down arrow once. Now create another layer and name it “White. Press X and then Alt+Backspace (this will fill the selection with white). Now press D again, and then, while holding Shift press down arrow once and then left arrow once. Release Shift and press Del. Hold Shift and press right arrow once and then up arrow once. Your image should now look like this:

6. With the selection active, set “White” layer blending mode to Overlay. Now go to Filter>>Blur>>Gaussian Blur (set the Radius to 4px). Now select the “Black” layer and apply the same Gaussian Blur filter, with the same settings. Now set the opacity of the “Black” layer to 75%. Now create another layer, set the blending mode to color and fill it with #FFFFCC.And then apply Outer Glow and Inner Glow with these settings:


7. And here is the globe:

8. Now it’s time to add the image. Open the image, resize it and then drag it to the globe document. Use the Eliptical Marquee Tool and select the area you want to appear in the Crystal Ball.

9. Go to Select>>Feather, set the Feather Radius to 20px and click ok. Press Ctrl+Shift+I and press Del as many time as you need to fit the image in the globe. Press Ctrl+D and you’re done.

10. Now you can add other elements, like a holder or some stars. Good luck!
